Writing to Heal

Here is a post by the wife of one of the new vets which I find helpful and healing. Nice to know people are finding help with the despair that living with someone who has PTSD can sometimes cause.
Writing helps me feel what I feel. I used to tell myself that I shouldn't feel what I felt because it wasn't logical. Well guess what? If feelings were logical they'd be called reasons, but they are not. Feelings just are, and if you sit with them they peak and then they fade. They are not permanent, unless you suppress them...

In the Solace for the Self issue is a description of HEALS which has helped me with every painful feeling. I hope we can keep in touch.
